Pietro Gallina (1937, Turin, Italy)

is an italian artist. He is especially known as the creator of "Nevigrafie" (snow prints), "figure vibranti" and painted wooden silohuettes.

Career:

Born in Turin, Gallina begin his art career after working since young in advertisement at Armando Testa Studio. In 1967 he started exploring visual arts, illustrations, and graphic experimentation.

In the ‘70s he also he collaborates as graphic, for FrancoRosso Travel Agency, creating catalog covers.

He designed several logo for different brands (Carpano, Lavazza, Antonetto).

His works are exhibited at MoMa ("Portrait of Alighiero Boetti"), GAM and many other galleries around the world.

In 2006, Bolaffi (for which Gallina created several art covers of collector's albums) guested him for a solo exhibition, which collected a comprehensive group of operas from different eras.

One of the most recent exhibition was at the Turin Gallery of Modern Art in 2013.
